Since 2021, the entire Vast Forward team has been working on our sustainability initiative, VAST GREEN. For us, sustainability is more than buying a certificate or outsourcing the issue: We want to fundamentally develop our internal processes in a sustainable way, focusing on the people involved.
Even in 2023, there is no tried and tested way for SMEs to become more sustainable: Products, workflows, dependencies, basic requirements – on the one hand, the parameters for this seem to be too diverse to grasp and work with. On the other hand, the consulting landscape is blossoming more and more, sustainability is a constantly growing business model today.
We created our own way.
The idea: our own strategy, our own framework as a process model for implementation as an agile framework in which we can advance, test and adapt our development in sprints to get feedback and learnings before making strategic decisions and implementing concrete actions.
Sustainability and the preservation of our planet go beyond individual wills and actions and require a collective approach. That’s why everyone at Vast Forward shares responsibility for the environmental and social footprint of our small organization.
As a result, everyone brings their unique ideas and perspectives to VAST GREEN, allowing us to grow as a company. We call it: We Do Not Just Compensate!
Sustainability must therefore be an integral part of the corporate culture. When every employee is involved in the sustainability initiative, the importance of sustainability is embedded throughout the organization and can have a ripple effect. This creates a culture of sustainability awareness in which sustainable decisions and actions can continually develop new strength.
After two years of our sustainability initiative VAST GREEN, we discussed with our team which tasks from the VAST GREEN project accompany them in their daily work, what makes VAST GREEN so special for them, why it is important to speak up and simply start integrating sustainability into the daily business routine.
One thing we can say up front, even after 2 years, it is still fun to work as a team with a common push for VAST GREEN. We have grown closer as a team and look forward to seeing our company grow together into a greener future.
