Just over a year ago, we launched our sustainability initiative VAST GREEN. A common strategy, clear goals and the active involvement of the entire VAST FORWARD team are important elements for a successful change process. In our sustainability strategy, we committed to being transparent – also because transparent communication is a core corporate value in our remote structure. In parallel to our implementation process, we are therefore sharing our successes, hurdles and best practices along the way on our VAST GREEN blog. After all, there is no blueprint for SMEs’ towards a more sustainable business – yet we can share our journey.
Now we are going one step further with our “VAST FORWARD Impact Report“.
In accordance with the core standards of the international guidelines drawn up by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), we summarize our key environmental, social and economic performance in our Impact Report. This way, we aim to create comparability and transparency with regard to our CSR activities and, as an SME, we already comply with the European Reporting Standards.
When looking for partner organizations, e.g. for our CO2 footprint calculation and compensation, we repeatedly received feedback from professionals that we have set ourselves ambitious goals – especially when measured against the size of our company.
We are aware of that. We won’t stop here, but will continue to drive our VAST GREEN process forward with motivation and share the results with everyone who is interested. Our VAST FORWARD Impact Report will therefore continue to evolve in content and form – in alignment with evolving reporting standards. As VAST FORWARD we want to work transparently and in an open process for a future worth living, in spite of the fact that we alone will not save the world: we can all contribute to a better world – We Do Not Just Compensate!
